Heat Advisory is now ineffect through Late Wednesday. High temperatures Tuesday and Wedensday will be in the mid 90s with heat indexes in the 100-105 range, especially on Wednesday. Tuesday the dewpoints will be lower slightly, but its still going to feel awful and heat indexes will still be in the upper 90s. Lows at night will only cool off into the mid to upper 70s with heat indexes still in the in the upper 80s, possible near 90 on Tuesday AM, Tuesday Night and Wednesday Night.
A Heat Advisory is issued in the Detroit CWA when either temperatures are between 95-100, heat indexes are between 95-105 and or lows at night only drop to no lower than 75. People need to do outdoor activities in the early morning the next few days (before 9am) or after the sun goes down. If you must work outside, drink plenty of water, and take frequent breaks. Best bet between 11am and 6pm is stay inside in the AC. If you have no, AC ... head to a cooling center or a place that does. And if all else fails, the lake works too.
We might sneak in a storm on Wendesday, better chance of storms on Thursday.
