First things first I am getting concerned with a possible Freezing Rain event Wednesday night into Thursday AM. There could be a possibly a 4-6 hour window of Freezing Rain before the warm front lifts into Northern Ontario. That will then push temperatures above freezing starting around lunch time and it will stay above freezing until New Years Day. Highs Wed will be around 30. Upper 20s for lows on Wednesday Night. Then Thursday once the warm front lifts through will easily get into the 40s.
Thick fog with the rapid snow melt will be an issue come Thursday night. I think our lows by early Friday AM our no colder than 40. Friday (New Years Eve) afternoon highs believe it or not will get into the lower 50s. During New Years eve a strong cold front will approach from the west. Heavy rain is possible with maybe even a chance of some thunder. Right now though I'm betting on the rain/thunder holds off til after midnight. New Years day I think we hit the high in the AM (Upper 40s) then temps will be falling during the afternoon Saturday back into the 20s. Rain will be changing to snow and any water on the roads will turn to ice.
TK.
P.S... Maps of this system is on my previous blog.
