Right On Cue With My Birthday

The Tropics fire up like my birthday cake

Hurricane Danielle is SE of Bermuda. Is expected to still be a hurricane as it passes east of the island.

Tropical Storm Earl expected to become a Hurricane and travel a little bit more of a westward path. Def. something to watch as we head into the weekend.

Back close to home. A couple cool nights ahead but fear not summer returns by the weekend with highs pushing 90 by the weekend.

Birthday Forecast

Cold Front will be cutting through the lakes Wednesday Morning. It will be coming through pretty dry. But still can't rule out a few showers with the cold front passing. Temperatures have been pretty cool since Sunday. Northeastly wind flow off the warmer lake huron waters have touched off clouds and at times scattered showers, especially for the eastern areas and the thumb the last couple of days. The North/Northeastly flow behind the cold front Wednesday Afternoon will once agian touch off scattered showers down wind from Lake Huron. Else where will see a partly sunny setting. Highs behind the system will be Upper 60s Thumb/Northern MI, Low to Mid 70s elsewhere. Bonus sunshine will equal temps slightly warmer.

Cold Front Early Wed AM

Wednesday through Friday morning temperature wise looks cool. High pressure will bulid in Thursday making way for a great Thursday with less humidity. But Wednesday Night into Thursday AM and Thursday night into Friday AM look a tad on the chilly side. With lows away from Metro Detroit and the water falling into the 40s. Even some low to mid 40s Thursday Night in the Saginaw Valley points north.

Wed Night/Thu AM Lows

Thursday Night/Friday AM Lows

Summer does return by the weekend, highs will infact be apporaching 90 by Sunday. The hot weather will continue into early next week.

Tuesday Forecast

Just about a re-pete of Monday. Sun and Cloud mix. Can't rule out an isolated shower. Highs in the upper 70s. Maybe some lower 80s if more sun. But more cooler if the clouds hang tougher.

Sunday Forecast

We will have to get by a few scattered showers and storms Saturday Night. After that, get ready for some awesome end of Aug. weather. Mid-60s Saturday night will turn into temps around the 80 mark with low humidity.

Most if not all of next week like I said looks great. The only slight chance of rain comes Tuesday Night with a weak cold front. Behind that much cooler air moves into the lakes on Wednesday.

By the end of next week, there is the possiblity of a major warm up. But still not really sold on it.

EF-1 Tornado Touches Down in Macomb TWP

And EF-1 Tornado touchdown at 22 mile and Hayes Road and traveled south 2 miles before lifting east of the Hall Road/Hayes Intersection. The path like I said was 2 miles long with with max width 250 yards.

In addition, Widespead tree damage was reported all over from 16 mile northward and east of Hayes.

Below is a picture of the super cell storm I caught from my backyard, this is on the SW corner of the storm when it came through Macomb County around 7:30

Will have a full weather update later in the day. Another round of storms is possible Friday Night and Saturday.
