New Severe T-Storm watch is in effect for Lower MI not including the OH/IN broader Counties until 1am.
Line of storms crossing over the lake Michigan Shore line will be moving through the state through 1am. Main severe weather threat tonight will be damaging winds in excess of 60mph. Especially along and west of 127 (Lansing/Jackson to Lake MI) I'm still questioning if its still going to hold its own (the line of storms) by the time it reaches the Detroit Metro. Up til about 10:30/11pm the severe weather threat will be highest along and west of 127. If the Detroit Metro/Flint is going to get in on the act, it will be after 11pm.
Beyond this system. Ill hit on this in the next blog. Flood Watches have been posted for parts of the U.P. Up to 3" of rain is possible with the next system that will move through the lakes. This may also bring a severe weather outbreak to lower MI on Thursday Night or Friday.
